The courtship of a Nyintiran is heavily dependent on both physical touch and an open mind - an open mental connection, not in the figurative sense of the phrase. This can be boiled down to similar interests or even being introduced to a new technique of getting something done quicker. The longer the connection holds, the more intertwined they are with their suitor. This is also referred to as a "bond" by outsiders, despite this is not a shackling to the ones involved. When translated from their language, this is called a "wasting", written as wystng. Effects of a rejected wystng include reality bending hallucinations, starvation, dehydration, self-mutilation, and lack of control of their shifting abilities, and clear skin - seeing the inside of the anatomy, not clean skin, which is the act of skin hygene.

In terms of interspecies relationships, this is a much heightened connection because of the effects of the wystng. Nyintiran or Nyintiran Hybrids tend to having to use much more to make up for the lack of the outsider's telepathic strength and in some cases, lack of touch. In extreme cases, the Nyintiran in question goes as far as feeling what their suitor feels to the point of being in events they were never physically presently for. Going through such event so vividly, it was as if those involved in said event were residing in the same place as the Nyintiran. This is due to the time sensitivity nature of the species. It feels very real, to the point of it being part of their reality - even if they are aware it is not apart of their reality at all but just the experience of their suitor. This tends to bleed over into multidimensional realities for the Nyintiran, dealing with such events even their suitor has not actually experienced. While some are good, there are some that are rather horrible and while their present suitor has never or will ever go through such a reality, the Nyintiran in question, will in their place. Whether they like it or not.

The extreme parts of such a thing will have the Nyintiran attempt to cut out the wystng in a more literal sense - by surgically removing the three veins that connect to their brain stems. This could place the Nyintiran in a comatose state but, it slows the healing for the wound to make up for healing the mind. If their suitor also is a species of the telepathic kind, this goes as far as them being able to see the one hurting the Nyintiran and act accordingly. Talking them out of it being not real or imaginary does not work since they can still feel the cloth of them, skin, smell, even details that the suitor couldn't fathom ever remembering or knowing.

If that species is not a telepathic species - or rather a very small bit of telepathy (ie human), the Nyintiran would gravitate to their suitor. A need to be around them as an anchor to ground themselves into the reality they are more familiar with. Even if the initial suitor is unable to help the Nyintiran, their literal presence seem to keep them alive. The hallucinations, however, do not go away by normal means. It takes at least three earth months for it to go away completely.

Pertaining to hybrids, such as the offspring of Dowger Queen and Dowger King-Emperor, like Gallifreyan-Nyintiran: this could be even worse for the children. It could be breaking reality in terms of having very specific interactions to people that their suitors have not met or simply do not exist in their current universe - and vice versa. The hallucination can be as real as holding a phone or even a hug, lifiting one from the air. The hallucinations are treated as real citizens of the reality they inhabit to the Nyintiran - interacting with those that are (by all intents and purposes) to anchor them. Depending on the spouses, this could vary if all try to cut the wysting on their end or if one attempts to do it by themselves. This isn't the reality in these cases due to the lack of interaction of the varying species and the exposure of the time vortex, other events, etc. In their case, the royal ones will have to be willing to get all their spouses and lovers together in one room but, this would require all to be time sensitive with access to their own time vehicle of choice.

The Dowger King-Emperor and Great Queen the Vigilante are a prime example of what happens if the wysting is cut via death of their suitor. While the Dowger King-Emperor is Gallifreyan, the sudden accidental death of the Dowger Queen will throw the suitor into a state of inconsolable isolation and mania to ressurrect the Nyintiran by any means. There are further studies in the past that it is usually the other way around, yet this is a first of an outsider - a telepathic outsider - acting in the ways of a Nyintirian. With Great Queen the Youngest, the eve of that suitor's death tend to haunt them - their hallucinations of said suitor becoming more and more real every day. As if their mind is willing them to exist once more. However, due to the nature of the late Great King Johnathan Avery Smith, it is possible this is an ability untapped of the royal family. After all, Great Queen the Younger was able to will a once-dead child back to life - despite the propaganda that the child was of a reality where Nyintr was lost during the Last Great Time War.

However, not all is lost. In many cases of the wystng, it is quite loving or not as extreme in the previous cases. it depicts the strong unbreakable connection between the two. as mentioned in the previous articles in terms of relationships, not all are romantic in nature. A wystng can be whatever the connection the parties involved are - from enemies to simply acquaintances. It all depends on how invested the Nyintiran is in the relationship.

Not much is known for Nyintirans and other supernatural species in terms of the Wystng other than what is recorded by the royal offspring of the Dowger Queen and her King-Emperor. More research is required.

Nyintr is a planet that houses an unconventional monarchy-like rule over its subjects. Involved in time and space exploration, it's here where these species labeled Janllandis (for outsiders), Nyintirans are a curious species. They showcase extreme longitivity in age and it shows prevalent in height. A simple Nyintr year is 3650 Earth years past. With a day on Nyintr lasting for 5 earth years - luckily for humans that reside on Nyintr, they do not age the same rate since it is after all another day. Though having to be 30 to 35 means every day is five birthdays! How sweet! At least the eyes show their age if they were to return to Earth.

Some citizens are as over 2,722 ft tall and others are larger. The oldest to date are so large that unfortunately are too huge to reside there - seen as eldritch tall. This makes certain species like humans, gallifreyans, and others seem almost grain-like side by side. Which is a very good thing Nyintirans are a shapeshifting species. Specifically, it varies upon family and genetic backgrounds. To easily summarize it, they prefer to be titled as adaptive shapeshifting. Most Nyintirans are time sensitive due to the planet formerly being a time vortex to a star before solidfying itself with a strong gravitational pull to form a planet. It is only recently the locals discovered the sentience of the planet itself.

Base appearences vary upon the Nyintirans, in the royal family, their skin pigment are various blues, cool greens, violets, and dark browns. Facial structures however - still using the royal family as the example - are the earth equivalent of african, aboriginal, or black with a few south asian and indigenous. Because of the royal family and thei hybrid nature of being both Gallifreyan and Nyintiran, their base selves - if we stick with earth terminology - are in the category of black or person of color (abbrev. POC).

As mentioned earlier, they are ruled in a unconventional monarchy. The current ruling family is the Tavįàümńs. Generationally, going by the surname Benedies or the Benedie Royals. While most monarchal families are revolved around high status in genetic family trees or residing within said family tree via distabt cousins by marriage - the Benedie royals seek outside the expected/assumed boundaries. They marry and court off-worlders gallifreyans, humans, hybrids: if it's off world, its for them. The current ruler is Dowger Queen Evangeline Tavįàümń alongside her husband, the gallifreyan titled the Scientist. Though, he has the status of Emperor for yet another planet, he is married into the title Dowger King-Emperor. Evangeline's twin sister, Mariana, is Dowger Tsesarevich Mariana Tavįàümń.

Evangeline has four children with the flexible title, High King or High King. Their names, in order of initial recorded birth, are as follows: Allura, V, Vin and the Vigilante. Due to the monitored temporal interference of Great Queen V and Dowger Queen Evangeline, the birth order is currently as follows: Allura, Vin, V, and the Vigilante. Their titles are High Queen Allura, High King Vin, Great Queen V and Great Queen the Vigilante.

Despite the usage of their public names in accompany to their titles, their birth names are in their place on official Nyintiran documents. Each child have their own domain that resides on this planet, however, as of current times: this is all ruled by their parents and grandparents.

This particular royal family have intergrated different off world cultures and taboos to accommodate their spouses. Which others would frown upon, Nyintirans are - if not known for the blasé approach to bloodsport - rather open minded. Highly curious as well and all around open and accepting. As well as the multiple spouses sharing a title with their own freely given court.

As told, monogamy is rather rare - though not unheard of to be considered a taboo, not by any means - in terms of relationships within this species. This is probably to due to their lack of secrecy since they are also a telepathic species. They can speak but, they are mainly a telepathic species. Unlike the Gallifreyans who are a tactile telepathic species unless using a general word - the infamous verbal link 'contact' - Nyintirans do not need consent to enter one's mind. Similar to the species labelled as TARDISes or TT Capsules, if you can think, you are then known. Similar to if you can speak, you are then heard.

The languages they have are very nearly polyglot. Which makes translation circuits a tad obsolete for this species - they learn by hearing and reading and signing. Many of the technology there are adaptive for all. Many places that are rather not wheelchair accessible - places that quite frankly are unsafe for anyone to access - are accessible. This is also due to the sentient nature of the landmass on Nyintr. So if you wish to go splunking with a group of friends but you are medically bound by your bed - don't fret for you too can explore the forbidden caverns and fight for survival against the Crawlers! Neat!

Nyintirans are, as seen above, are not shy about gore and other serious topics that make some uncomfortable or fearful on Earth. However, if it is unconsentual, the perpetrator is usually mutilated. Even more dificult to lie when they can see and understand what the mind concocts. Deeply and swiftly investigated, there is a choice of prison for less severe and frowned up crimes.

Most Nyintiran prisons are actually more residential housing complexes so when one leaves, a job they had applied for or went online to graduate for, it is already available for them with an address for a furnished "house or apartment on hold" for them to reside. This however varies upon the crime.

Fighting or threatening a Nyintiran can become a mating ritual if the Nyintiran finds the threat attractive. Which is historically known to be off putting to some offworlders who are used to those tactics as a self-isolation method. Similar to a mating dance.

Nyintirans are very hard to kill, with only one success being recorded as accidental via weeping angel during the end of the last of the great time war. This is why mutilation by Nyintiran standards varies from the comparisons of other species. Bullets, blasters or other usual means that tend to be more effective in killing other species tend to fail for Nyintirans despite any Nyintirans trying their best to accomodate to "fit in" with their shapeshifting. On record, Nyintirans have more than one internal organ than the number of internal organs a Gallifreyan has - if we were to compare - but due to their natural shapeshifting, its possible the internal structure has changed.

In terms of offspring with off-worlders, Nyintirans and whoever they are mated with, the children are raised initially in Nyintiran culture and ways before integrating into the spouses' culture and life. For the royal family, specifically the offspring of the Dowger Queen and King-Emperor, their Nyintiran side is dormant with their Gallifreyan side being the forefront. However, since both species are time sensitive, it is possible that the children can feel the years go by. Which implies they are older than what is recorded and turn makes the queen and other family members older than what is on record. Hybrids of hybrids however - at least from what is recorded in terms of the royal family - can choose to fully become the introductory species than their birthright or even be both! Which is fascinating that the shapeshifting origin of said offspring can evolve in such a way.

This being said, infertility is a choice Nyintirans can adapt to. Mating with a Nyintiran or a hybrid offspring of a Nyintiran makes most if not all off-world infertility moot. The Nyintiran can shift in a way to birth a child if their partner are unable to do so or be the "giver" in the process. All that is needed is the genetic dna of their partner - varies upon touch to kissing or in other ways. Then the Nyintiran can shift internally or externally in the method commonly used for that planet so it will always be a Nyintiran birth. This is how the offspring of the Dowger Queen's were created post-off worlder curse. Yes, it is as silly (and / or horrific) but the Nyintiran doesn't feel the possible pain that is expected when seeing the sight of the process.

Children recieve the basic education seen on other worlds before added education - by the time they graduate college in Nyintiran culture, they are then thrusted into essentially pre-k in off worlder education systems. Which makes them overqualified on the subjects given in other schools but, this is to form connections off planet. They, in addition, learn body endurance - though this is for hybrids as Nyintirans are usually taught this in middle school biology. Which to off worlders would be titled as militaristic indoctrination and scientific experimentation. There are therapists for those that are more troubled by this in early development. However, one can opt out and be home schooled.

The planet's atmosphere is earth-like. The sky however is violet. Nyintr has five moons with the folowing names: Vyasm Mirusefa, Luha'er, Ovisi, Ya’kil, Sa’tckyav. Three suns - two that actually circulate the planet and the main sun of a blue star in the solar system they reside in. There are several languages but there are two languages - old language and current. It is known they have a religion but, joining it is unexplained by the locals.

Vehicles vary though some can be labeled as "motor vehicles" and "tt capsules" even though the names are different if asked. Considering Tardises are both a flora and being their own species, the term "vehicle" is too oversimplified. There is however a "garden" as their own continent on Nyintr formed after the marriage of the now Dowger Queen and Dowger King-Emperor.

International affairs such as war: Nyintirans tend to avoid it if asked. It is a political affair that involves the interference of the monarchy. If there is an attack on a royal, the rest will attack in turn unless dissuaded to act by the attacked royal. Juristiction is unlimited but, this isn't used by the royals themselves. Except those that travel off world.

Nyintr have longer seasonal holidays due to longer weather cycles.

I Can See It In Your Eyes

Drew Starkey x Evangeline Sinclair (OC)

Warnings: none that I can think of (this is also lightly edited so sorry for any mistakes)

“Evangeline!”

“Ms. Sinclair over here!”

“Look this way!”

The young starlet walks down the red carpet, the train of her gown in her hand as she makes her way to an interviewer. The buzzing crowd does nothing for her nerves, but she focuses on the pride she feels as everyone calls out for her.

“We’re here with Evangeline Sinclair. She walked the red carpet for the first time just yesterday for her premiere of her brand new horror movie. Everyone seemed to love it and the reviews are to die for. How do you feel?” The interviewer dives in straight away.

Evangeline only has a millisecond to catch her breath.

“So excited. This movie is special to me and I want people to really feel that. I hope that transcribes well through all the hard work that was put into that project,” she breathes out, hands clutched over her heart to show that her words are heartfelt.

“Today you’re here as well to support your fellow Loewe crew and Luca who you’ve previously worked with.”

“Yes, I am. Luca is a fantastic director and he’s perfect at having a vision and making it come to life. I’m honored to be here to celebrate and support such an amazing film and an amazing cast and crew”

“If you don’t mind shifting gears, rumor has it that Drew Starkey is your newest costar for another horror movie coming out sometime next year,” the woman says excitedly.

“Well I guess it isn’t a rumor anymore. Yes, he’s my costar and we’re actually in the middle of filming. Our lovely cast and crew were gracious enough to allow us to be here supporting our other projects,” Evangeline grins, a little flutter growing in her heart at the thought of Drew.

“Well the chemistry must be strong between you two. I can just feel the electricity buzzing when you walk by one another,” the interviewer points out, making a blush form on the actress’s cheeks.

“He’s amazing to work with. What can I say? Our chemistry is unmatched and that’s why we’re starring in a major movie together,” she muses through a big grin.

“I think I heard my name,” Drew chimes in, popping up behind Evangeline.

His hand finds the small of her back and he places a chaste kiss to her cheek, furthermore making her face blaze.

“Drew! How kind of you to join us. What’s it like working with this generation’s scream queen?”

Both Drew and Eva share a quick glance, their eyes quickly flitting away from each other. The girl is highly aware of his large hand still present on her back.

“Ah man. She’s- yeah she’s perfect. Someone that everyone wants to work with, and I just so happen to be the lucky one to do so. She’s super talented and she really knows how to put dedication into the craft,” Drew compliments, directing his gaze back to her.

They all look at each other just about speechless. Evangeline wasn’t expecting for him to say that and it clearly caught the interviewer off guard.

“He’s such a flatterer. I should be saying that I’m the lucky one, being able to work with him,” she shakes off her surprise.

“And soon everyone will be the lucky ones when they’re able to see your film in theaters.”

Evangeline turns her body into Drew’s, her hand landing on his chest in an affectionate manner. Although their touches seem to be mostly platonic, everyone will still be able to see the tension bouncing between their eyes.

“We can’t wait for everyone to see it,” Drew gleams and squeezes the actress into his side.

“Thank you, Drew and Evangeline. It was nice talking to you both,” the interviewer concludes her interview and the duo bid their goodbyes.

“You should pose with me for pictures,” Drew leans down to whisper in her ear.

The girl blushed furiously this time, heart practically beating out of her chest. Whenever she’s around Drew, her senses go haywire.

“No way. You’re the star of the night,” she huffs out.

“And you’re always a star.” Can he be any more perfect?

“One picture. Only one, Drew,” she gives in.

After a few pictures- after the paparazzi couldn’t get enough of them -the duo make their way inside, away from any prying eyes or lenses.

“I didn’t get a chance to tell you that you look beautiful,” Drew sighs as if it's been weighing on his chest.

“Thank you. You look handsome as well.”

His hands find their way back onto her back, slowly tugging her into him for a long overdue hug. Evangeline doesn’t dare stop herself from looping her arms around his neck. His hair tickles her fingers in a pleasant way, reminding her of all the times she’s played with his hair on set.

If someone were to see them, they’d think they’re a couple. Hell, sometimes her mind even tricks her into thinking they’re a couple. Truth is, their bond has become so strong, a catalyst from co-starring in a movie together. Their characters are each other’s love interest, and they’ve had their fair share of onscreen kisses that have pushed their relationship to toe the line between fiction and reality.

Snapping the girl out of her thoughts, Drew slides a hand down her arm and interlocks their fingers.

“Shit. I need to get going and meet up with Luca and Daniel and everyone else,” he mutters, lowering his head in slight annoyance.

“Nervous, Starkey?” There’s a tease hidden in her words and Drew catches it right away.

He fights off a bubbling laugh and just presses a hard kiss to her cheek.

“It’s okay if you’re nervous,” she adds after he fails to respond.

“I’m fine. I know you’ll be in there, seated right behind me,” he says and gathers her in his arms once again. Even in heels, Eva still has to be on her tiptoes to press her forehead to his.

“Mmm right. I almost forgot that I’m your non-date,” she laughs. Drew had asked her to accompany him during his film's premiere day, knowing that her presence will keep him calm. He also can’t deny that he adores seeing her dolled up and by his side.

“Date,” he corrects her. She stays silent, just peering into his baby blues.

“I’m proud of you,” she whispers and finally returns his cheek kiss.

“I have to get going.”

“Go superstar,” she playfully pushes at his chest.

He squeezes at her hips, reluctantly pulling away to catch one last, longing gaze at her before meeting the cast and crew for Queer.

Overview/Backstory(before heaven)

Evangeline was born as a peasant in France, her parents each working beneath King Louis VXI and Queen Marie Antionette. At a young age, Evangeline and her elder sister were chosen to become Marie's daughter's playmates. A common practice for nobles of the ra to find a commoner to befriend their child to socialize with them, however, the Queen chose to do this to teach her daughter empathy. After several years of spending day after day at the side of the Princess, her mother passed away. Stricken with responsibility and a heart bigger than the public knew, Marie Antionette adopted Evangeline and her elder sister. Quickly moving the two into the Palace of Versailles and giving each of them new names based on her favorite books, Evangeline now being called Juliette by her adopted mother based on 'Les Lettres de Juliette Catesby (1759)' by Marie Jeanne Riccoboni.

Despite being treated with the same maternal care and affection as Marie's biological daughter, Evangeline nor her elder sister were ever granted titles. Instead, the two were often referred to by others in the palace as 'the girls who always accompany Princess Marie-Therese.' This never bothered Evangeline, the young girl only thankful for the affection and opportunity within the palace. Her new mother gave her access to literature, teaching her to read as soon as possible, and teaching her daughter how to love books just as she did. It was at this time that Evangeline began to read the bible and learn other languages.

When the political unrest within France grew and the royal family attempted to flee, Evangeline and her sister were sent to the countryside to live with their biological father until the family returned shortly after failing the attempt. The unrest only grew, however, resulting in the Queen instructing another member of the French Court to take Evangeline and her sister to safety. The two living with the Mackau family during the height of the revolution and during their adopted parent's executions, their biological father shortly following in their footsteps due to his association with the King.

It wasn't until age 17 that Evangeline was released from legal guardianship, and permission to use the pension from her deceased adoptive parents as she wished. For the first time, the young woman was on her own in the world, and her name had been changed back to match that of her biological parents instead of the royal family. She moved to Saint-Denis in Paris to live close to her sister, the only person she even knew anymore.

For years, the young woman lived alone, unsure of what direction her life was meant to go in. Everything had been set up for her, prepared for her since she had been adopted. Things were always taken care of for her, a future decided for her even when she was under legal guardianship by the Mackau family. Near overnight everything changed, her whole life flipped upside down and every adult with a parental role in her eyes was gone. She spent her days reading, visiting with her neighbors, and feeding the strays while her sister began a family, at least being married off. It wasn't until 1802 when a group of soldiers traveled through her city, ones she just had to run into on the street, unknowingly spread yellow fever throughout Saint-Denis.

Early winter that year, Evangeline passed away in her home with no one but her faith and sister at her side. Without even a good story to tell, the young woman went to sleep to never wake up in the mortal realm again. However, she instead awoke before the pearly gates. She was greeted by St. Peter, who quickly checked his book to find her name, and brought through the gates quickly. Passing through the gates, Evangeline's senses were overloaded by the bright aura that emitted off the grand, beautiful structures softly sat atop the clouds. Almost causing her to miss the other angels themselves, as her eyes danced from billboard to fountain and so on. (that ended up longer than intended, maybe 2 many details)

Notable Relationships

Adam: The First Man Evangeline initially wasn't the biggest fan of Adam when they first met, as crude and obnoxious as he was, although over time she began to notice herself laughing at his annoying comments instead of cringing. She was probably the one to fall for him first, much to her dismay; Although she wouldn't be the first to make a move. Internally and externally she denied the fact she'd grown to care for him, enjoyed his crass humor, and couldn't stand how quiet things were when he wasn't around. After several months of relentless seemingly one-sided flirting from Adam, Evangeline relented, eventually reciprocating his advances. Although, due to her embarrassment she attempted to keep their entanglement a secret, which did not last long, when Lute opened the door of Adam's office one evening and caught the two getting heated. After this, the two made their relationship official and it became known within heaven among both the angels of lower and higher status. Despite her initial uncertainty, after what felt like no time the couple engaged before being married in 'holy matrimony.' Due to Adam's history regarding Eve and Lilith, Evangeline vowed to always stay by his side as his wife and support him. She never wanted to turn out like the two who hurt the only man who ever made her laugh or feel loved since she died before ever finding someone in life. The biggest problem within their relationship arises 200 years after they marry, due to the fact Adam kept the exterminations a secret from her their entire marriage. Truthfully, the only reason she ever learned of them was by chance and staying up 'overnight' during the yearly extermination, a night she had always viewed as the one day Adam took work seriously. This was why she stayed up late, waiting for him to get back with Lute so she could see him and ask how it went, even if she didn't know truly what it was his 'job' was. While waiting, she heard the door open followed by the voices of Adam and Lute. The two were happily chatting about slaughtering hundreds of souls, sinners specifically, but still. The revelation that her husband and someone she'd considered her closest friend were capable of such acts horrified Evangeline and caused her to rush toward them with a million questions. Lute pretty quickly excused herself, claiming this was Adam's problem, and leaving the couple to argue in privacy. They went back and forth on the ethics of it, the purpose, and how it could possibly be justified. 'It's to protect us! To protect Heaven and all of us angels here! Eventually, she began to kind of understand his supposed perspective. Thinking of the revolution and uprising that caused what she had always known to be a loving family to be torn apart, she chose to trust Adam and the other angels who made the decisions regarding the exterminations.

Lute Evangeline met Lute at the same time she met Adam, in fact, she walked right past Adam to introduce herself to Lute with a warm smile and handshake. Lute was apprehensive at first, uneasy with what seemed like sickly sweet kindness that radiated off the new angel. However, once she viewed how she reacted to Adam and was nearly forced to spend time with her; Lute began to consider Evangeline a friend. The two often spend their free time away from Adam together, whether that be talking shit or shopping. The second of the two options was less of a favorite of the exorcist angel, although she seemed to enjoy the food portions of their shopping trips. Often times one will try to invest the other in one of their own hobbies, like Evangeline's singing or Lute's combat practice; Each resulting in humorous situations for the friends. When Evangeline learns of the exterminations, and about who/what Lute really is, she's initially hurt by the fact her only actual friend had kept such a secret from her. (even if it was ordered and literally a part of the rules.) A wedge nearly being thrown between them, until Lute finally explains the fact there are rules regarding the exterminations and how only the exorcist angels and seraphim really know. While this explanation makes sense, Evangeline accepts this and tries to move on. In the end, learning the truth caused the two women to become better friends now that Lute truly could open up to someone else and not have to rely on Adam as the only one who knew the truth. - Okay, this was way longer than intended !! if you actually read all the way to here, thank you for taking the time !!

Evangelite History: Rough Draft

I've been working on a bunch of big, comprehensive pages detailing each Great Kingdom. I'm starting with Evangeline because it's the first kingdom the reader is introduced to in the series.

It's far from finished, but I thought I'd share the history section in case you fanfic writers and OC creators want to mine it for bits of lore. ;)

(Note that this is a rough draft, so it may be incomplete and some things may be subject to change. I will place it under a cut.)

EVANGELITE HISTORY

1ST AGE

Evangeline Kingdom began as a tribe of Skylind humans in central Noalen, called the Balbastra tribe. What these humans lacked in physical strength, they made up for in beast-taming and diplomacy. They utilized tamed dogs and dragons to defend them from stronger peoples, such as the ogre, minotaur, and centaur tribes nearby. Eventually the humans used their diplomatic skills to befriend some of these tribes, and welcomed these species into their territory. This diversity only made the Balbastra stronger, until they became the most dominant tribe in the region.

2ND AGE

Using both force and diplomacy, Balbastra expanded with satellite towns around the Blue Valley. The first town was New Balbastra, which would later become Evangeline Capital. The second was Green Harst, which is now known as Greenhearst. The tribe was now officially a small kingdom, and its first king and queen were named Avan of Blue Lake and Anjeline of Green Harst. The kingdom was first known as The Kingdom of Avan-Anjeline, and this name later evolved into Evangeline Kingdom.

3RD AGE

The 3rd Age was a turbulent period for Evangeline Kingdom. Its central location on the desirable Blue Lake made it prone to enemy raids from all sides. The Blue Valley was a chaotic place at this time, as many different tribes were still squabbling over territory here. But Evangeline not only survived, it dominated after developing large air fleets of dragon-mounted soldiers. No other civilization in the region had mastered air control like this, and it gave the kingdom a serious edge in conquering their more primitive enemies.

During this period, the kingdom rapidly gained more satellite towns. By the year 3300, it officially became known as a Great Kingdom.

Evangeline Kingdom also saw its first major war in the 3rd age. It was up against the Great Kingdom of Yaramor (later known as Yerim-Mor), which tried to forcefully seize Evangeline Capital. Yaramor had mighty air fleets too, and Evangeline would have met its match if not for a stroke of luck. Yaramor’s neighbor, Matuzu Kingdom, seized the opportunity to sack Yaramor’s farming territories while Yaramor was busy harassing Evangeline. This forced Yaramor to abandon its offensive campaign and go defend its existing territories instead.

Evangeline Kingdom became wary of its southern neighbors and began bolstering its defenses. The next time Yaramor attacked, Evangeline would be ready to counter them with siege weapon technologies developed by its newly-acquired dworfen population.

4TH AGE

The kingdom experienced a huge cultural revolution around the year 4200, when its leadership decided to combine Evangeline law with Lindist doctrine. Things had been heading this direction for centuries before this, however, as Evangelites were getting fed-up with hostile tribes of hogmen and other species terrorizing their rural towns. The High King took advantage of the peoples’ fear and anger, and used it to install a heavy-handed theocracy.

Fae and gaians were declared lesser beings by Lindist leaders, and Evangelite law decreed that they should only exist in the kingdom as slaves. This caused many fae and gaians to flee the kingdom, but those who could not escape were enslaved, beginning an oppressive new era for Evangeline.

The kingdom also began a genocidal campaign against hogmen around this time, but it did not successfully drive them to extinction until the very end of the 4th Age–about 800 years later.

In less than a century, Evangeline’s whole culture shifted into something unrecognizable. The kingdom was becoming a haven for male commoners and a nightmare for everyone else. But this oppression was a boon for the upper classes, who were reaping big profits from Evangeline’s growing trade industry. Thanks to slave labor, food production became very cheap and could be sold to foreign markets. Zareen Empire was their biggest customer, and this is still true today.

The religious revolution caused much civil unrest among the lower classes, however. Things came to a head around the year 4500 when a civil war broke out between those who were for the revolution and those who opposed it. Most of the opposers lived in Evangeline’s neglected northern and eastern territories, and as a result, the kingdom split in two. The revolution-opposing territories banded together to make their voices heard, and they became known as Folkvar Kingdom. In Volkaspek, this name roughly translates to “Kingdom for the People”.

The Folkvarans demanded freedom of religion, equal rights for all peoples, and abolishment of slavery, and would not pay taxes to Evangeline until their demands were met. Evangeline refused and the two sides went to war. This war is still raging today–2,000 years later–with neither side gaining or losing much ground since it began.

5TH AGE

The 5th Age was largely uneventful for Evangeline Kingdom until the very end, when the Gold River War broke out between its neighbors to the south. Yerim-Mor Kingdom and Matuzu Kingdom engaged in a bloody, years-long affair that sent scores of refugees running north. Evangeline gained many new commoner citizens from this, but also many fae and gaian slaves.

The war left Yerim-Mor Kingdom in a terrible state, and its citizens continue to flee north today to escape poverty. Its fae and gaians dream of settling in Folkvar Kingdom, but they must cross Evangeline’s territory to get there. Most of them get enslaved by Evangeline before they can make it to Folkvar’s border.

Evangeline Kingdom spent the 5th Age aggressively pushing Modern Lindist doctrine upon its people, insulating them even further from the outside world. This campaign was very successful, and it created a loyal, ignorant, and powerless population that largely policed themselves.

High Queen Indiga came into power towards the end of the 5th Age. Her reign was rather unique, for she was just one of three female high rulers in the kingdom’s history, and also the longest-serving among them. She did not hoard wealth like the generations that ruled before her, and instead invested taxes back into her people. Evangelites saw a dramatic increase in their quality of life during her reign. But the Lindist indoctrination only continued to get stronger, thanks to Princess Cerulea’s involvement with the Lindist House of Humanity.

6TH AGE

High Queen Indiga’s reign is now coming to an end as she reaches the winter of her life. She spent decades passionately investing in Evangeline’s people and industries, greatly strengthening its economy and building a highly nationalistic culture. She knows she will not live to see the Folkvar Kingdom’s defeat, so she has spent her life bolstering her kingdom so that her grandson, Lord Cobalt, will.

Cobalt’s whole campaign was already planned before his birth, and he is expected to launch a series of major attacks upon Folkvar in the coming decades. Thanks to his grandmother, he actually has the resources to do so…at least for now. If bad fortune should befall Evangeline Kingdom before then, Cobalt will be forced to change trajectory and make his own decisions. The iron crown looms over him like an anvil ready to drop. What will Evangeline’s future hold when this nervous noble takes the throne?

whew. okay. this one required Thought.

1. amar - he's not the dad. he's not even the dad who stepped up. he's the guy who was 19 and saw an abandoned baby and said "jesus christ i guess i have a daughter now" and then when that baby turned 18 she came home with a 14-year-old urchin who is the next entry on our list, he said, "well fuck i guess i have two daughters now." amar is kind. amar is clever. if i could make the perfect man- well. i did. it's amar. and if his kindness bites him in the ass on occasion, so what? if he wants good in the world, he'll be it himself.

2. auri - one of my longest-lived girls. she's for all the 30-somethings who don't have it all figured out. she's gone through a lot of incarnations (notably, most of her earlier iterations were much meaner than the auri who features in kindred), but she's always trying her best and then some and she loves unabashedly and without restraint. auri is the definition of ride-or-die and someone who would happily set herself on fire to keep others warm.

3. evangeline - my girl who came back wrong. when they rebuilt her, they made mistakes. she can't control her anger, she doesn't believe in god, and she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. eva ran the streets until she got caught doing a job she shouldn't have taken in the first place: too risky, too high-profile, too impossible. but her girlfriend needed an abortion and what else was there to do? eva isn't the type to let her loved ones down.

4. maja - every waking moment has been an exercise in making her mother proud, and her mother's never satisfied. i don't want to say too much, because there's more coming for her soon; shadowheart will get some love from her :)

5. 38/mir - my murderous queen. what's an assassin but a weapon and who better than a changeling than to lose herself in her craft? she was created for an astarion who ascends. minthara is his right hand, but 38 is his left; she slinks through the shadows, nearly one herself, and blood is the only currency she knows.

Cyangeline Escape Destination

@loominggaia, I request help getting this to your blog.

Y'see, I have two major locales I wanna send Cyangeline and Skylie to. They can all go together or separate to differing locations.

One is Drifter's Hollow, a pretty important location for LG's major crew the Freelance Good Guys.

The other is Uekoro, where their Aunt Azura is the Queen.

On the one hand, Azura could seriously help them using mercenaries or whatever, but on the other, Drifter's Hollow. The Uekoro route will likely be a bit more smooth but may have some shenanigans related to the Aquarian Alliance, Yerim-Mor, and the Kaconeans. Drifter's Hollow will have slightly more angst, be a more desperate fleeing attempt as they will have to evade the law and be in the wild, but have interactions with Folkvar, Kelvingyard, and ogrish tribes in Evangeline. Also my divine OC Saraia.

So, poll below, vote when you can! I also put in arc names for each route the plot could go once it gets to that point.

Also, the motives for Cyangeline and Skylie depend on where they go. If to Uekoro, it's a mostly well prepped journey on their own terms. Going to Drifter's Hollow will be a far more spontaneous thing, with Cyangeline having been caught/being too heavily suspected by Teal/Cyana's parents or Skylie's stories being burned and she runs away totally upset and unwilling to stay anymore.

Again, this will determine the future of my fic, readable right here! This won't be immediate, we have maybe 6-8 chapters before the results of this poll are relevant.

Edit: I will likely also post alternate versions that all split off after a specific chapter I'll use as the major canon split for each of these.

For example, if Cyan Uekoro and Drifting Skies (Cyangeline to Uekoro and Skylie to Drifter's Hollow) wins, that'll be the canon arc, but I'll also write the others as non-canonical alternate paths.

And both Cyan Uekoro/Uekoran Skies will be split POV between Cyana and Skylie, each chapter starting with what Cyana's up to before shifting to Skylie. These will pretty much be the same rough time periods for each chapter, so, for example if Cyan Uekoro wins, two chapters might encompass two weeks of travel for Cyana and two weeks of evading the law for Skylie. They may not be truly equal (Maybe Cyana's part is about 2 hours and Skylie's part is over a 3 days' time), but they'll ultimately be over the same approximate amount of time.

Will do! I've also talked about these guys and discussed a lot of their story with my buddies @eemoo1o-animoo & @sebastian-ciel-mutual-bullying (Thanks so much you two, ya'll are awesome ^^)

(Bear with me folks this is still a WIP work)

The OCs in question are a trio of demon OCs—Tobias Gourmand, Napoleon Salver, and Maria DeVarre—who all serve the owner of an inn. (Adam Sinclair is his name. And his wife is named Evangeline. "Evie" or "Eve" for short. 😉)

The Sinclair Servants are basically meant to be foils of some sort to the Phantomhive servants (Finny, Mey-Rin, and Baldroy) but they're also basically the triplet demon servants from Black Butler II if they each had their own separate personality (also if one of them was a girl lmao)

Tobias is quite chatty with whoever decided to visit the inn, but is also considered to be the one with the least "tact" out of the three. Compared to his two companions, he's quite a bit more childish and less-levelheaded, and isn't usually seen without a mug of liquor in hand. That being said, he's a tad bit more of a flirt compared to the others, very smug and savvy.

Despite my personal preference to say his name second in order, Napoleon is actually the "ringleader" of the trio. He's the one that does most of the talking when other characters (such as Ciel, Sebastian, and/or Adam) are speaking to the trio as a whole. Napoleon is especially the one who has the most interaction with Sebastian in the story (in fact part of me feels like he's at least 45% gay for Sebastian but I digress). He's also considered the most manipulative of the three, but he's usually the one letting Tobias and Maria do most of the messier work.

Maria is without a doubt the most stoic of the three (in fact most of the time she rarely says anything), and since she's a kitchen maid she's usually barely seen ever interacting with the inn guests. Despite physically appearing to be the youngest of the three (looking no older than Ciel himself) Maria is actually far more mature and level-headed than one may think (second only to Napoleon but moreso than Tobias). She's also quite skilled with knives (more specifically the bigger and heavier butcher's cleavers to contrast with Sebastian's fancy dinner cutlery), in fact if anyone were to try and act creepy with this girl, she would no doubt threaten to stab that person.

Some may interpret these three as a "weird little demon family" and they're not wrong. Me personally I interpret their relationship with each other as "roomates/siblings who are usually on the same page, have the same thoughts and mindsets, and do a lot of the same things but occasionally get on each other's nerves". Sometimes I even think of them as a silly little "clique" of demons. Above all else, however, they're partners in crime.

Now, here's how they would play into the rest of the Kuroshitsuji world (specifically how Ciel, Sebastian, & the rest of the gang would come into play).

It basically goes out like this; Ciel and Sebastian are sent by the queen to investigate this inn. The reasoning is rather to-the-point; many people who have visited this inn are usually never seen walking back out.

There's a lot of your typical Kuro arc shenanigans, but there's also a lot of interaction with Sebastian and the Sinclair servants. A lot of "demon-to-demon" interactions.

Their relationship with Sebastian is... rather complicated. I'm still unsure whether or not these three would be able to tell if Sebastian is a demon or if Seb himself even knows that they're demons yet. If so, then chances are these three see Sebastian as, well, weird.

Like, "you're telling me that guy over there fawning over a litter of kittens is a member of our species? As if." They even make a few occasional mocking jabs at his expense (much to Seb's annoyance)

Anyway, there's a planned B plot with the reapers (specifically Grell, Ron, & Will) where they see that many souls have been strangely going missing. And they are, in fact, rather pissed. Will especially is rather triggered and believes Sebastian is the one at fault here (which Sebastian himself knows is absolute bullshit because he's been dieting fasting for what? Three years straight?)

Gee I wonder if the demons who are working at the inn know about this.

I could keep going on and on, but I think it's best that I stop there for now. This story has a looooooot going on, and that's far from even the tip of the iceberg.
